Demand and activity were typical for a Monday to start the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. The mills had a variety of items available for sale that could deliver next week and the week after. Prices were consistent among the items they had but there were limitations on the volume they could sell. There were some stark differences in prices though on various quotes from distributors and wholesalers which confused and befuddled traders, questioning the building confidence in the market.
