Sales momentum waned in the lumber market yesterday. Demand and activity were still good but the hectic pace the market has seen recently seemed to lose a little of its steam. A sense of urgency from buyers was not as prevalent as it has been. Many concerns admitted to having adequate inventories to care for the business at hand, at least for the moment. The mills had sales on several items they offered but not all of them found homes. Certain accumulations of some items appeared that the mills struggled to find interest in.
