Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market saw mixed activity on strong demand yesterday. Some retailers were steadfast and motivated to getting needs covered, often needing it sooner than later. Others worked the market, pitting traders against each other to get lower prices. The mills had little interest in playing along. They had fewer items to sell and were often not interested in taking counters. Distributors on the other hand were more flexible to offers, especially if it was viable against their inventory positions.
