The eastern spruce lumber market was busy again yesterday, as it has been all this week. Steady demand and sales had clients coming to the market to replenish working inventories more often. Distributors fared much better than the mills in garnering orders with the variety of products they could supply. The mills had items they could sell but they were very selective in nature. Upcoming annual summer shutdowns and increasing duties also restricted several Canadian mills in selling more aggressively.
