Demand came to life yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market making it a very busy day for clients and traders. Distributors were the primary source of supply for the orders transacted on the day. The eastern Canadian mills had little involvement in the action. Summer shutdowns hindered when they could deliver product while the uncertainty in when the increase of the anti-dumping would take effect influenced what prices to quote. This post will be on hiatus returning August 5th.
