Demand was lighter and orders were fewer than trader expectations to start the new week yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market. Adequate supply from the mills and distributors gave buyers options to choose from. Prices varied among sources though making it difficult for clients to be confident on buying unless a need was warranted. There were also those that were waiting to see what transpires in the marketplace as asking prices are artificially higher due to an increase of the anti-dumping duty.
