Demand strengthened, activity picked up, leading to a better day of trading in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Clients had more options to source needs from, not only from distributors but also from the mills wanting to know where items were trading at. There was growing interest to sell, especially at the higher prices published recently. There was still much uncertainty, confusion, and inconsistency prevalent in the market holding back some from doing business and generating better activity.
