Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand and activity strengthened in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Lower prices spurred buying interest and brought clients to the market. It made for the most successful day of the week for many traders. Distributors leveraged their inventories in taking orders. They were focused on finding the trading levels needed to sell at. The mills did their best to participate but it was hit or miss for them. They remained timid in their approach to the market, struggling and dealing with the increased costs they are faced with.
