Demand and activity improved yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market. More clients came to the market having needs to fulfill or wanting to know and gauge what prices were doing. The eastern mills also looked to find levels where various items were trading at. Sales remained sluggish for them. Distributors continued to drive sales and prices in the market. Supply outpaced demand keeping pressure on prices although they have been slow and resistant to change due to increased duties and potential tariffs.
