Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand and activity remained steady in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Prices continued to slide drawing more clients to the market to cover needs or shoring up depleting inventories. Some mills were active participants while others were more reluctant to do so. Many prepared for the long holiday weekend, being celebrated in both the U.S. and Canada. The emphasis for most was to keep inventories lite and manageable while keeping a watchful eye on the market for any changes or disruptions.
