Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was little change in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Demand was primarily for quick fill in with little to no speculation. Clients that could, juggled inventories to limit purchases. Distributors worked to lower their inventories. Mill production stayed constant with lite sales. Prices continued to erode. The market has been a grind for mills and traders throughout the week. Those that persevered found orders. There was also hope that there was light at the end of the tunnel and that better demand and business lie ahead.
