There was little change to start the new week and new month in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Production outpaced demand. Prices were vulnerable. Confidence in the market and the economy remained low. Retailers are busy though. Product is moving through their yards. Inventories are low and getting lower. Pressure on the reloads and the mills to perform and deliver quickly is growing. It would not take much to change things, to having buyers chasing supply. A spark, a disruption is all that is needed to alter mentalities and the market.
