Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand and activity were lackluster to end the week last Friday in the eastern spruce lumber market. There was also little change in the market for the week. Prices continued to trend down with supply more prevalent than demand. The mills had their items they wanted to move but were not overly eager to take big counters on them. Clients kept inventories low and manageable knowing that quick fill in from distributors and some isolated mill shipments would keep them stocked.
