There were rumblings of better demand in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday, to start the new week. There was growing interest where prices are, what products can be bought, and where they can be found. There were inconsistencies, especially from the mills, putting additional pressure on distributor inventories to cover client needs. There are gaps in the reloads on some spruce items turning attention to alternative species to fill voids. Lower prices have also become a greater challenge for many concerns to making money.
