Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The eastern spruce lumber market continued to see steady demand and activity yesterday. It was an average day for orders, as it has been for several weeks except for this past Tuesday. Clients maintained the same ideology of filling in when needed, knowing that deliveries to them would be quick, although with heightened pressure at times to get. Prices were largely unchanged with lower minor corrections. The increased duties the Canadian mills are paying are having their effect of keeping several of them away from the U.S. market.
