Demand and activity remained status quo in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was little to shake up or alter the dynamics of the market. Prices continued to creep down. Mill offerings varied in scope, product, and price, especially from the Canadian mills. Retail yards were busy with takeaway and replenishment. Orders were highly competitive. Distributors were focused on selling what they wanted, although voids were starting to show up on various items.
