Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand was lite and activity was quieter in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Expectations were much higher. It deflated trader confidence. The mills sold very little. There were wide price disparities among them and other sources. Prices continued to peel back. Many were left wondering what it will take to bring back stability to prices and in the market. There were indications earlier in the week that a change was in the air, but little was seen yesterday to give credence to it.
