The eastern spruce lumber market ended last week on a positive note with demand sparking consistent activity throughout the day. Although much of the business transacted on Friday was reload generated, the mills were heavily involved throughout much of the week. They worked feverishly to sell and ship product across the border before the 10% tariff goes into effect tomorrow. Most spruce prices were up double digits on the week with both the mills and distributors adjusting along the way.
