Demand and activity centered on finding lower priced items in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There were wide price differences seen on several items especially from the Canadian mills making the search challenging. Prices on many items lagged current replacement adding to the frustration of many. It made for a busy day for traders trying to cover client needs or looking for something worthwhile to peddle. Mill counters were often given but were quickly rebuffed in most situations.
