Activity was slow to get going to start the week yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market. Higher prices had many needing extra time to canvas the mills and distributors of what was available before deciding on purchases. Mill selections were thinner than hoped and distributors had voids on key items hindering efforts to cover needs. Some items that have been plentiful in the market such as 2x6 and 2x10 randoms have seen increased sales of late and were more difficult to source.
