Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Demand held its ground in the eastern spruce lumber market last Friday to end a busy week. Supply was constant but announced production cutbacks at various mills did not bode well for it in the upcoming months. Prices edged higher throughout the week on most items barring 2x4 which paused. Retailers steadily filled in their inventories from distributors with some mill assistance. There were clients being more aggressive with adding to their inventories signifying a growing confidence in prices moving forward.
