Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Uncertainty kept buyers at bay to start the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Many were uneasy on the direction of the market. There were orders transacted but demand was slack compared to previous Mondays. The mills had product to sell with most showing more than they have had recently but much of it was priced higher than published numbers. Announced production cutbacks at various mills has had little effect so far as many believe there is adequate supply to care for the current demand.
