bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Spruce sales were sluggish to start the week in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. There was demand but with ample mill supply and prices suspect, buyers wanted to check their sources to find the best options before making any potential purchases. Distributors were also a major factor to consider with a wider variety of products and quicker deliveries than the mills. Another factor keeping activity down was the convening of LMC members to their convention starting today in Philadelphia and later this week many key players will be attending the NAWLA convention in Kansas City.
