Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Sales were much improved yesterday in the eastern spruce lumber market after last Friday’s dismal showing. Demand was evident over a wide range of clients, products, and species. Distributors were the primary source that fulfilled those needs with the wide variety of items and quick delivery they could do. The mills were also involved but to a lesser degree as they were limited on the products they had to offer. They had 2x4 but little else in the other widths. Most mills could deliver next week on the items they had. Prices were competitive and more consistent among sources.
