Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

It was another busy day for traders in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Strong demand led to brisk activity and sales. The scramble was on to get things done and orders placed ahead of the long thanksgiving weekend. Distributors held sway with the market with their competitive pricing and timely deliveries. The mills looked to sell the selective items they had with limited success. Prices were flat with slight adjustments as many took a wait and see attitude with the inventories they have. There was no rush to continuing to sell at unprofitable levels.
