Demand and activity remained strong in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Retailers sourced a wide range of products keeping traders very busy. The mills played key roles in supplying many of the orders generated. Prices were negotiable with them but to a lesser degree than expectations. Wider differences and much cheaper numbers though were observed in the market. Confirmations of them were difficult to discern and substantiate. Distributors were active participants with some being more aggressive sellers than others.
