There was little change in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday to start the new week. Demand was lite and specific, keeping activity on the quieter side. There were some selective items that generated orders for distributors and the few mills in the market. Prices were unchanged. Traders at their desks prepared for the New Year with all its hopes and aspirations. The eastern mills will start coming back with production next week with some delaying their startup dates due to low market prices and anticipated lite demand.
