Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

The continued lack of available lumber from the mills fueled a buying frenzy in the lumber market yesterday, as witnessed by the heavy volume of orders transacted. Many traders doubled what they had sold from the day before. As a result prices moved higher on a wide range of products. Distributors, more so than the mills, were the major recipients of much of the action as their well-positioned inventories were ideal fodder for retailers and other concerns in covering many of their specific needs.
