Prices were suspect in the lumber market yesterday, impacting new orders to the mills and slowing the rate of overall transactions in the market. Uncertainty pervaded buyer’s mindset, making them second guess themselves and delaying potential purchases. Some buyers though looked at lower prices as an opportunity and plodded forward with buying what they needed, putting some impetus back into the market. Deliveries from the mills continue to be no less than two weeks, keeping distributor’s reloads bustling covering retailer’s quicker lumber needs.
