Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

There was a flurry of orders transacted to start the new week in the lumber market yesterday. Demand was steady but weakened in the afternoon. A sell off in the futures market had buyers hesitating and second-guessing potential purchases. The mills came to the market wanting to sell the few things they had but found little interest for them. Much of the inquiry they saw was for items they did not have available. The recent dramatic surge in prices have many off balance and out of sync. Most looked for direction and guidance from their trusted advisors.
