Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Activity in the lumber market last week was busier than what was expected, even with many away for the holidays. The dynamics of the market did not change. Steady demand in the face of low supply kept prices moving higher. Mill shipments were out to mid-January with reliance for quicker product coming from distributors. Shipping delays were ongoing especially at many of the ports. Production at several eastern mills return today with the anticipation of more lumber being available.
