Bill's Corner- An Eastern Spruce Perspective

Activity was good in the lumber market throughout yesterday. Missing was the hectic pace present in weeks passed. The mills were not selling and increasing prices after every sale. Buyers had time to source inquiry among them. There was a good chance that the mills still had what they quoted when you went back to them to buy. Retailers and manufacturers were willing to wait a couple of weeks to get better priced offerings presented. It seems that although overall inventories are tight, many have worked recently to try and better prepare for any potential volatility in the market.
