Canadian Lumber Production Rises Month-Over-Month in September - Forest...

Statistics Canada (StatsCan) reported today (12-5-22) that lumber production increased 1.9% from August 2022 to 4,341.8 thousand cubic meters in September. However, production was down year-over-year by 6.1%.

In September, sawmills shipped 4,302.8 thousand cubic meters of lumber, which is down 3.7% from August 2022 and down 8.5% from September 2021.

StatsCan notes that the data is subject to revision and is not seasonally adjusted.
