What is surprising to some is that Sapele is the most uniformly colored “Mahogany” species available. An added benefit is that it is really easy to work with and machines nicely. It should be noted that there is a significant difference between the flat sawn Sapele lumber and Quartersawn Sapele lumber. To make sure our customers get exactly what they need we separate the flat sawn product and the quartersawn product after kiln drying to better meet the specific needs of our customers
