There was increased demand evident in the eastern spruce lumber market yesterday. Maybe there was a realization that supply was tighter than perceived that motivated buyers to have more interest in what was available, be it from the mills or from distributors that generated the better activity seen and felt in the market. The mills did have a lesser variety of items with fewer accumulations to offer. It was also increasingly more difficult to get them to accept lower prices on what they did have available.
