In February 2023, the imports of wood pellets to Japan surged 97% year-on-year to 423.2 thousand tonnes. According to Lesprom Analytics, the average price for wood pellets imported to Japan contracted 10% compared to the previous month and amounted to $218 per tonne. This is 15% more than a year ago when it was $190.
