Lumber Futures Pricing Plus 20% Handling :-)

This is a chart that represents the last 6 months of 2x4-R/L pricing FOB Mill. It’s somewhat deceiving because final delivered cost could be 20% or more than FOB mill or advertised pricing. FOB mill means it’s ready in some far away land and still requires rail and trucking not to mention unloading , reloading and storage of product. Needless to say better read the fine print if you just want to snag a few lumber futures contracts for your needs. Have an Awesome Day. On your next lunch break, check out my private channel as I post things that are interesting about lumber and wood.

How often are lumber futures contacts a realistic option? Do you need deep discounts in futures before you can consider that?
