Consolidation in the lumber industry in North America is something I’ve never seen before: Timber analyst

John Duncanson, vice-president and timber analyst at Corton Capital, joins BNN Bloomberg to discuss his outlook for lumber in the new year. He expects up to 12 lumber mills to shut down in British Columbia, tightening the supply for the commodity [a loss of 1-15 billion board feet of production]. He also notes more M&A activity in this sector is expected.
