In February 2023, the average price for softwood lumber imported to the U.S. slipped 4% compared to the previous month at $222 per m3, according to Lesprom Analytics. This is 44% less than a year ago when it was $395. The imports of softwood lumber to the U.S. decreased 10% year-on-year to 2,564.5 thousand m3 in February.
