In the first eleven months of 2023, Russia decreased lumber production by 3.6% y-o-y to 25,732 thousand m3, according to Rosstat data. In November, Russian lumber production edged up 2.7% to 1,972 thousand m3.
Wood harvesting in Russia remained consistent with the previous year, as 6.2 million m3 of softwood logs and 3.3 million m3 of hardwood logs were harvested in November. Over the eleven months of 2023, timber harvesting in Russia fell by 4.2% to 111.4 million m3.
