Southern Yellow Pine Sales Manager - Mississippi

The SYP Lumber Sales Manager in Mississippi will guide Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) dimensional lumber sales decisions which improve the profitability of the enterprise. The Sales Manager will be required to build and train a trading team, create a start-up sales plan, develop a customer base in an area with potential growth for southern yellow pine lumber, and work with the operations team to establish top-tier service standards and product offerings that meet our customers’ expectations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in forest products, wood technology, or paper science preferred, but a business degree with an emphasis in marketing or finance is preferred.

Minimum 15 years industry experience with most of it in SYP lumber sales. Some production experience would be beneficial.

A strong familiarity with Southern Yellow Pine products and markets will be considered a plus.

Be proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, business intelligence tools, and order entry systems. Some business analytics experience would a plus

Experience in developing sales plans and tracking associated metrics.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be a legal US resident. Unfortunately, there is no visa sponsorship offered for this role.

Proven leadership skills and industry experience.

Proven record of partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver real value to the enterprise.
