William Giguere's Lumber Market Update - 9/13

Higher prices accentuated the news in the lumber market last week. Also noteworthy were the sharp increases on many items notably 16’ material and stud products. Strong demand was evident from the onset of the work shortened week although buyers were hesitant at the start. The mills were quick to push prices up as sales were generated. They concentrated on the items they had on the ground or would have this month while avoiding products that they may have in the coming weeks. The lack of truckers continued to cause shipping delays from the mills and the reloads
