The pallet industry is a cool example of the circular economy in action. Much of the product used to build pallets would otherwise be discarded, this could come in the form of low-quality boards or manufacturing scrap. Connecting the dots and turning waste into valuable inputs makes sense ecologically and economically. Sadly, making these connections is hard, and not all the connections are made. Hopefully, as technology advances, it will become easier and easier to connect and grow this circular economy.
