Hi @Michael_Haas thank you for the article – not usually on our radar via lumber or general news sources. Given these events:
“The Indo-Pacific region is coalescing into two power blocs, as these two parallel exercises make abundantly clear. On one side are the navies of the world’s major democracies, including regional democracies. On the other side are the authoritarian countries Russia and China.”
How do you think this will affect the wood import/export between US/Canada and China? China is a huge importer of lumber and wood in general.

If Canadian mills couldn’t sell into China when the USA isn’t biting, then that would have a massive impact on market dynamics. I wonder how much wood is going from North America to China right now…
