Good afternoon! Weāre in upstate NY Foothills of the Adirondacks and weāre sawing Eastern White Pine everyday 
Primarily weāre producing cants for post & beam structures. Weāre running a Cleereman Lumber Pro setup to cut logs from 10ā. to 30ā. We have a portable band mill set up to do the odd timber longer than 30ā all the way up to 40ā, we use that same small mill to cut table top/bar top live edge material, we kiln dry our tops and can surface them up to 35" wide. We also have the capabilities to surface our cants up to 12" x 20" x 40ā. We have 2 NYLE dry kilns we use to dry 4/4, 8/4, and also 8x8ās for log home timbers. We make log siding that matches our log home timbers as well as just about any custom size needed. This is a 3rd generation family business we have been going since 1975. On a personal note, Iām the 3rd generation Iām married my wife works alongside me and my father is transitioning out. We have two awesome children that hopefully one day may decide to take over for us. We haves cats, horses, tortoises, turtles, a rabbit and a dog. Love what what we do and where we do it.

From what you say and looking at your site (https://meadlumber.net/), when it comes to EWP, you do it all. I love this photo as it shows logs, cants, and lumber all in one shot! Just a beautiful sight to behold!

It sounds like you have a beautiful family. I too grew up with cats, horses, turtles, rabbits, dogs, fish, ducks, and even a stray cow and peacock come into the mix at one point.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, do we have a channel for sharing industry tidbits that come along? Iām probably one of the few guys here in the Exotics/Hardwood space but would love to be able to share and hear news from the guys with boots on the ground. For example we were given notice yesterday that around 300 containers monthly leaving Port of Cartagena of Rough Teak Logs en route to India (Chennai/Kattupali). Would love more of these kinds of insights and to be able to share as well.

That said, I think thatās a great idea! Are you thinking like some sort of āInsider Insights & Tipsā section? Maybe we could create a new topic for that. Do you have any insider insights & tips for us today? Maybe we can kick it off with you insight below

Hello @Arham_Farid great to have on board. These are great industry tidbits you are describing. The best thing to do would be to start such a āInsider Tips on Exotic Woodā Topic and you can choose to channel where to post it. Either Forestry, Logging (as @Andrew_Gibson was suggesting) or Hardwoods.
So you can post under that Topic on a regular basis, much like @william_giguere posts daily under āAn Eastern Spruce Perspectiveā Topic.
The more colleagues/partners you invite to Pakira from that industry pocket, the more people will be sharing those tidbits and you will all be benefiting each other. Then your following will grow!
