Hello everyone,
My name is Rami AlAzzeh, I live in Amman/Jordan (Middle East). I started working in the wood field in 2012 when I was employed by the Red Sea Timber Industry Company located in Aqaba, Jordan, Our mission was to manufacture high-quality Sawn Timber, Block Board, Particle Board, Plywood, Lamination Board, Pallets, and Furniture. The factory was the largest factory in the Middle East, we used to export sizeable quantities of processed timber to the Middle East constantly because our location was in the southern coastal town of Aqaba by the Red Sea making importing the timber and exporting our product extremely efficient and fast. In 2016, the factory decided to stop manufacturing wooden pallets, so I did a simple study so that I could open a small factory, and after consulting the management in the factory and upon obtaining approval, I opened a factory only to manufacture wooden pallets and supply to the local market in Jordan for the companies that consume large quantities of wooden pallets. I continued to work with the Red Sea Wood Industry Company and at the same time, I was supervising my factory in the manufacture of pallets until 2019. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus Pandemic and the circumstances surrounding it forced me to shut down the business. After that, I decided to go to trade, as I have customers in different parts of Jordan, and I started working in the trade until this date, and through my work in the trade, I got to know merchants from different countries who are living in Jordan, and I’m importing wood for them from several regions around the world.

Amazing story @Rami_AlAzzeh ! Great experience spanning different parts of the wood supply chain over the last decade.
From working at a manufacturer in Jordan, manufacturing quite a wide range of products for the local market (and the rest of the middle east i presume?), to founding and running your own manufacturing business, to trading, and now including import/export. That’s pretty valuable and versatile experience @Rami_AlAzzeh with your domain expertise and industry connections. We could all benefit from your expertise here at Pakira and the larger wood community!

There’s no secret, We import from Russia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Germany.
We are ready to import from anywhere if the prices are suitable for our markets.

Thanks for the intro to Pakira platform today Andrew, It was very educational, and I really look forward to using it on a regular basis.
